What is PNS and how to use it?

PNS ---full name is Poly Naphthalene Sulfonate, and people usually call it PNS powder for short.  It is also named as the following: Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate formaldehyde, Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate, Sodium naphthalene formaldehyde, super plasticizer, high range water reducer, sulfonated naphthalene of sodium salt, NSF powder, SNSF water reducing agent, NSFC plasticizer, PNS powder, SNF and FDN.

This product is made by industrial Naphthalene, Beta-sulphonate, Formaldehyde and Alkali via sulphuration, hydrolyzation, condensation and neutralization reactions. It belongs to non-air-entraining super plasticizer.  Our XYDCHEM - PNS is non-poisonous, odorless, non-flammable and non-corrosive to steel bars. It meets the requirements of chemical admixture specifications for concrete.

PNS has been applied to the highway, bridge, tunnel, water conservancy hydroelectric project, port, quay, skyscraper, power engineering, industrial civil building, prestressing force component and high range concrete etc. It is also used as dispersant in dyestuff and textile field.

Dosage, Benefits and Application of Our PNS Powder
1. Dosage rates vary depending upon the cement chemistry, amount of plasticity and/or water reduction desired. Recommended dosage range for PNS is 0.5～1.2% of cement. It is highly recommended that trial mixes be prepared to determine the optimum dosage for your specific performance requirements. When dosage of 0.7%x cement is used, The rate of water reducing is 15～30%.
2. Keeps the same strength, cement saving reaches to 15-20%.
3. The slump increases over 10cm, after dosage 0.7%(powder or equal).
4. Increased workability, durability, impermeability and placeability.
5. Incresed strength at all ages.
6. Good compatibility with wide ranges of cements like Portland cement, normal Portland cement,Portlandslag cement, fly-ash cement andPortlandpozzolanic cement etc
